About

vision

“Green Battery eliminates renewable-energy loss and creates a future where energy self-sufficiency and decarbonization coexist.”

By storing surplus renewable energy generated during the daytime and supplying it at night or during peak-demand hours, we enable a stable and reliable power supply.

By scaling this model nationwide, we aim to reduce Japan’s dependence on energy imports while accelerating the transition toward a decarbonized future.

“For Japan, energy self-sufficiency is not a choice—it is a necessity for the future.”

Japan’s energy self-sufficiency rate remains around 20%, leaving the nation heavily dependent on overseas imports.

At the same time, electricity demand from data centers is rising, and geopolitical risks are putting additional pressure on ensuring a stable power supply.

By storing surplus renewable energy and supplying it when needed, we aim to enhance Japan’s energy self-sufficiency while accelerating decarbonization.

Mission

  • Deploy 4 GWh of grid-scale battery storage across Japan and become the industry’s No.1 storage operator.
  • Store surplus renewable energy and optimize the supply–demand balance of the power grid.
  • Achieve listing (IPO) as a milestone for growth and expand our business further.
  • Contribute to global carbon-neutral initiatives through emissions-trading activities.

Green Battery was established with the mission of building a society that does not waste renewable energy. We effectively utilize surplus power from renewable sources to provide new value to Japan’s power supply infrastructure.

Renewable energy such as solar and wind is rapidly spreading. However, generation often exceeds demand during certain times, leading to wasted power. Green Battery’s grid-scale storage systems capture and store this surplus, then supply it when demand increases, helping stabilize the power grid.

Our efforts go beyond simple energy storage: stabilizing supply and demand directly contributes to increased energy self-sufficiency, economic stability, and the realization of a decarbonized society. Green Battery’s storage systems are becoming essential infrastructure for Japan’s future and a foundation for a sustainable society.

In addition, we work closely with investors and local governments to deploy energy infrastructure that generates stable returns across Japan, while building models that coexist with local communities. At the same time, Japan’s energy self-sufficiency rate remains among the lowest of advanced economies. The Agency for Natural Resources and Energy of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) has identified this as a critical challenge, underscoring the urgent need to expand renewable energy and energy storage. In cooperation with government agencies, local authorities, and private-sector partners, Green Battery will continue to develop highly reliable battery storage projects.

Last but not least, our slogan is “Store without wasting.” With strong execution and a clear path toward a NASDAQ listing, Green Battery is building the energy foundation for Japan’s future.
