Green Battery Featured in The Nikkei

Green Battery Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director: Kotaro Okada; “the Company”) is pleased to announce that its business was featured on page 20 of the morning edition of The Nikkei (Nihon Keizai Shimbun) on September 28, 2026.

Under the headline “Handling Grid-Scale Battery Storage from Start to Finish, Contributing to Local Energy Production for Local Consumption,” the article introduced the Company’s business.

Japan’s energy self-sufficiency rate remains in the low teens in percentage terms, and its reliance on fossil fuel imports contributes to trade deficits and geopolitical risk. At the same time, the loss of surplus solar and wind power that goes unused, known as “renewable energy loss,” has become a growing challenge.
Under the vision of “Store it, don’t waste it: a new form of energy,” the Company handles every stage of grid-scale battery storage projects, from site acquisition through design, construction and operation. By providing battery storage facilities to local businesses and operators, the Company supports local production and consumption of energy.

Going forward, the Company will continue to contribute to maximizing the use of renewable energy and achieving energy independence for Japan through its grid-scale battery storage business, while working to enhance its corporate value.
